Student Life Office

The Student Life Office is the best place to go for information, support, or guidance. Dedicated to helping you make the most of your time here, the Student Life team helps students manage all aspects of life, including:

  • Academic advising and tutoring
  • Housing issues
  • Information, referrals, and services for students with disabilities in partnership with the Stanford Disability Resource Center (DRC)
  • International student needs
  • Major events
  • MBA study trips
  • Pre-enrollment programs and Graduation
  • Referrals to the Business School and Stanford University resources
  • Student Orientation
  • Support for MBA Student Association groups and clubs

Jackson Library

The J. Hugh Jackson Library and the Rosenberg Corporate Research Center provide a working laboratory for business students' research and study. One of the world's largest academic business libraries, Jackson Library is a primary source of current business information with an extensive collection and comprehensive electronic data resources.

Computer Services

The main MBA Computer Lab provides more than 100 computers with a full suite of applications and programs, high-speed Internet connections, and easy access to network printing facilities. Additional computers are available throughout the GSB, providing easy access to email and calendars between classes. In addition, computing resources are available for your use in the Jackson Library, Schwab Residential Center, and other locations throughout the GSB. Laptops are not required for the Stanford MBA Program.

Management Communication Program

Effective communication is critical to success as a student and as a leader. The Management Communication Program (MCP) is available to help you improve communication competency through:

  • More than 60 free workshops
  • Hundreds of individual consulting sessions
  • Videotaping of practice interviews and presentations
  • One-on-one coaching sessions

Athletic Facilities and Activities

Students and your families may enjoy Stanford's state-of-the-art athletic facilities, which include:

  • Horseback riding stables
  • Indoor and outdoor courts for basketball, volleyball, and badminton
  • Indoor rock-climbing gym
  • Outdoor pools
  • Renowned golf course and driving range
  • Tennis, squash, and racquetball courts
  • Tracks and trails for avid runners
  • Weight training and aerobic facilities at the Arrillaga Family Sports and Ford Centers
Team Athletics With Your Classmates

For students interested in team athletics, numerous club and intramural sports and sporting events are available. Some of the more spirited GSB sporting events include:

  • The fall classic “USA versus the Rest of the World” soccer match
  • MBA1 versus MBA2 U.S. football showdown
  • Spring Challenge for Charity (C4C) weekend where Stanford MBA students compete head-to-head against five other west coast business schools on the Stanford athletic fields

Other examples of sports activities include:
