Communicating Credibly in Meeting
Did you know that four out of five managers evaluate each other based on how they participate in a meeting? In this workshop, you will learn factors that determine your meeting credibility. You will be videotaped while giving two seated presentations around a conference table and get peer feedback as well as a 30-minute follow-up consultation with the instructor.
Defending Your Point of View
Present a short speech on a topic of choice you have a strong opinion about and debate your point of view against questions from your audience. Gain tips on how to improve your impact.
Delivering Bad News
How do you prepare a speech to deliver bad news to a group, whether in a meeting or in a larger venue? For most speakers, this is the most challenging scenario. In this workshop, you will learn how to organize a talk that delivers your message in an effective yet concerned manner. You'll have a chance to deliver a short videotaped talk in which you deliver bad news. You'll get immediate feedback from other participants in the group and in a 30-minute one-on-one session with the instructor.

Effective Listening
Do you really listen to people, or do you find yourself faking or just waiting for your chance to speak? In this workshop, you’ll learn how to recognize and overcome barriers to listening and how to use speech/listening lag time. You’ll also practice active listening skills to build rapport and encourage understanding here at the GSB, at home, and in your future careers.
Generate Results with PowerPoint
Join us for a "hands-on" learning experience and master how to transform boring, cluttered, text-heavy slides into audience-engaging, visually compelling ones that clearly articulate your messages. Learn how to create "out of the box" visuals using appropriate slide layout, custom animation, hyperlinks, and more. This class promises to take PowerPoint to a whole new level and give you the tools to make your presentations generate REAL results.
How to Inspire and Motivate Your Audience
Build on what you have learned in Effective and Confident Delivery, Persuasion, and Impromptu workshops. You will learn three types of inspirational leadership stories. Come prepared to share a peak experience story. You will be videotaped giving two talks, get peer feedback and have a private follow-up 30-minute coaching session with the instructor.

Interview with Style
When you walk out of your interviews, what impressions will you leave behind? Will you be remembered as friendly, confident, competent, and distinct? Or will you leave behind a less favorable impression? In this session, you will learn and practice interview style components that influence recruiters' evaluations of you as a job candidate. This workshop focuses predominantly on interviewing style issues (such as communicating articulately and succinctly versus preparation and content) and is offered as a corollary to CMC's "Ace Your Interviews."
Jumpstart Your New Year
Take time out as the new year begins to look at where you've been, where you are now, and where you want to go next. In this workshop, you will identify your top priorities, eliminate time and energy drainers, and create a focused action plan moving forward.

Are you confident, concise, and convincing in job interviews? Sign up for a videotaped session to see how you come across. MCP conducts mock interview sessions in which you are interviewed twice by your peers and receive style-related feedback from both an MCP professional and fellow students.

The Message Triangle
Crafting your headline message in advance will help you prepare for your on-camera media session. You will build on what you learned in the media training seminar. In this one hour brown-bag lunch, you will learn a framework to help you communicate your headline message. In addition, you will develop and practice your key message and learn how to bridge to your message when you're in front of the camera.
Voice Workout: Using Your Voice with Power
Does your voice convey the impression that you want it to? This workshop introduces participants to techniques for expanding the power, clarity, and expressive range of their voices. The goal is to provide participants with a thorough grounding in the essentials of strong vocal expression.
