Sam Goldman ('07) & Ned Tozun ('07)
D.light Design
D.light design's mission is to develop and commercialize sustainable lighting and power solutions for underserved rural markets in areas without access to electricity. The Palo Alto Daily News first reported on Sam Goldman and Ned Tozun last spring when they were still GSB students. Their social venture has since taken off and the duo looks ahead with the Forever-Bright, the LED light they hope will replace kerosene lamps.

Heather McLeod Grant ('99) & Forces for Good
The Economist picks Forces for Good for its 2007 Best Books of the Year feature. The magazine writes: "As the importance of nonprofit organizations grows, so does the need for them to be well managed and effective. Cleverly chosen examples show how the best achieve their impact." Heather McLeod Grant co-authors the book with Leslie Crutchfield, both are experienced speakers, consultants, and workshop facilitators.
