Jobs
PMP students and alumni interested in nonprofit or public sector careers have a great deal of resources through the PMP and Career Management Center (CMC). Each year, hundreds of job openings are sourced and distributed to students and alumni.
While many GSB students find their next career move through traditional on-campus recruiting, most PMP students use our resources to craft a tailored search for identifying career opportunities in the nonprofit and public sectors. Together, the PMP and CMC offer personal advising and support, mentoring and networking events, career panels and workshops, conferences, current industry information, and more to help match job seekers with opportunities and keep them abreast of the latest trends in the social sector.
Post a Nonprofit Job Opportunity
Recruiters wishing to post a nonprofit job opportunity should login to the Recruiter Dashboard above, select "Add a new job" in the Alumni/Student Job Postings section, and follow the directions given.
Students and alumni can now search the GSB Job Board for contract, part-time, or full-time work in the social sector.Students should login to the CMC section of MyGSB, enter My Career Dashboard, and select nonprofit or government in the Revise Job Search section. Alumni should visit the Alumni Career Services website and login to My Career Dashboard.
Summer Internships
The PMP provides numerous opportunities and services to match interested students with summer internships in the social sector. Our resources include weekly internship listings, an extensive alumni network, a dedicated career advisor for one-on-one career counseling sessions, a database of area organizations who have longstanding relationships with the PMP and more.
Typically, roughly 10% of each class takes summer jobs with nonprofit or public sector organizations. In the summer of 2004, 33 students took internships with nonprofits with the financial help of the Stanford Management Internship Fund.
