Improved Customs Processes in Global Trade (in Partnership with TradeBeam)
This study examines technologies and processes that can potentially improve the customs system in global trade. The initial focus is on U.S.-China Trade.
The Benefits of Improved Supply Chain Efficiencies in China (in Partnership with AMB)
This study explores a potential link between supply chain efficiencies companies have been able to gain in China – and the cost savings associated with these gained efficiencies – and the ability of companies to cope with such challenges as growing labor costs in this area and higher fuel costs.
Innovations in Green Logistics (in Partnership with Safeway)
As part of Safeway’s overall initiative to create a more environmentally friendly logistics system, this study will identify and evaluate cost-effective technology and/or process innovations that can replace pallets.
High Energy Costs and Low Wages—the Benefits of Local vs. Global Production
This study explores the benefits of local versus global production, taking into consideration production and transport variability. The study also investigates when technology investments aimed at reducing production cost uncertainties are financially justified.
