Innovations in Green Logistics (in Partnership with Safeway)
As part of Safeway’s overall initiative to create a more environmentally friendly logistics system, this study will identify and evaluate cost-effective technology and/or process innovations that can replace pallets.
Mattel (In Partnership with Hong Kong University)
This case examines Mattel’s 2007 lead paint incident from the perspectives of the Chinese manufacturer and government.
Walgreens
This case describes how Walgreens was able to develop an innovative distribution system that relies on persons with physical disabilities.
High Energy Costs and Low Wages—the Benefits of Local vs. Global Production
This study explores the benefits of local versus global production, taking into consideration production and transport variability. The study also investigates when technology investments aimed at reducing production cost uncertainties are financially justified.
