Rate the Raters, Phase Four

In May of 2010, SustainAbility launched a multi-phase research program entitled "Rate the Raters", which aimed to shed light on the universe of corporate sustainability ratings and to influence and improve their quality and transparency. The organization released four reports exploring the ratings landscape today, how ratings work, where there is room for improvement and a vision for the necessary future of ratings. Global Initiative for Sustainability Ratings - Partnership between Ceres and The Tellus Institute
Ceres leads a national coalition of investors, environmental groups and other public interest organizations working with companies to address sustainability challenges. The Tellus Institute is among the world’s leading sustainability research and policy organizations. The two organizations have launched an initiative to create and bring to widespread adoption a single standard for rating companies' sustainability performance. For more information click here.
