Where is the Schwab Residential Center Located?
We are across the street from the Graduate School of Business at 680 Serra Street, between Galvez Street and Campus Drive East.

What if I arrive a day early or need to stay a day later?
Please contact the program manager of your conference. The manager will convey this information to the Schwab Residential Center so arrangements may be made ahead of time. Early arrival and extended stays are not guaranteed and are subject to additional fees.

What if I arrive after normal office hours?
The Tower office is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. A staff person is there to assist you.

Are there check-in/check-out times?
Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Does the Schwab Residential Center furnish any amenities in the guest rooms?
Each room includes towels, bed linen, hair dryer, alarm clock, telephone with voice mail and unlimited free local calls, as well as some toiletries such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. Additional amenities are available at the front desk upon request.

Is laundry service available?
Dry cleaning service is available. Pick up is at 8:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, with a 24 hour turn-around time. We also have two laundry rooms available for your use, as well as ironing boards and irons.

Are non-smoking rooms available?
Smoking is prohibited in any enclosed buildings and facilities as well as during indoor or outdoor events. This is a Stanford University policy.

Is the Schwab Residential Center wheel chair accessible?
Yes, the Schwab Residential center meets the California ADA code requirements. There are various ramps, power door openers, and ADA guest rooms available. Please be sure to inform the Program Managers of your specific needs so we can better assist you.

Are accommodations available for families?
Guest rooms are for single occupancy use only and feature an extra long double bed. Children and guests are not permitted. Please contact the program manager for alternate arrangements. All other conference participants please contact the Schwab Residential Center Office for additional information.

Are there phones in the rooms?
Each guest room has a phone with a direct phone line for incoming and outgoing calls and voice mail for your convenience. Dial 9 to get an outside line.

Are there televisions at the Schwab Residential Center?
Each guestroom includes a 32" flat-screen television with remote. There are two TV lounges each equipped with a large screen television, surround sound, and DVD player. There is one TV located in the exercise room.

Do you have exercise equipment?
An exercise room is available at the Schwab Residential Center for guest use. Equipment includes treadmills, bicycles, and free weights. The Center also is conveniently located near tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, playing fields, and a driving range.

Can I send and receive faxes?
A fax machine is available in the Tower Office. The Schwab Residential Center staff will call your room if you have received a fax. Our fax number is 650.725.6644.

Can I send and receive mail from the front desk?
For your convenience, Federal Express, UPS, and U.S. Mail services are available in the Tower Office. The Schwab Residential Center staff will call your room if you have received a package.

Can I hook up my computer?
Yes. Wire and wireless access for your computer is available at the Schwab Center. In addition, guest rooms are equipped with a desk-top computer featuring a wide array of software applications and high-speed Internet access.

Where can I print from my computer?
There are eight printers conveniently located throughout the Center. To print from one of these printers, you will need to log onto a GSB computer in the Schwab Residential Center. Contact the Schwab Center Reception Desk for assistance.

Is transportation available to get around campus and into downtown Palo Alto?
The Stanford University shuttle system, Marguerite is free and open to the public. It runs Monday through Friday, all year long except on University holidays. Information is available in the Tower office. Information is also available if you would like to rent a bike during your stay. It is not necessary to rent a car and we highly recommend that you do not bring a car due to limited parking.

Where should I park my car?
Limited parking is located down the street from the Schwab Residential Center. Parking passes are available at the front desk. A parking fee may be applicable.
