Tiffany Quock

Why were you interested in participating in the SIE?

I was interested in obtaining a broad overview of entrepreneurial skills in the SIE so that I would be more equipped to plan and implement the specifics of my business idea.

Were your expectations for the program met?

The program far exceeded my expectations; not only were the faculty and courses exemplary, my classmates were also very creative and fun to be around with.

What are you doing now?

I’m currently a Visiting Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA School of Medicine and Assistant Director of Global Health and Clinical Outcomes at the UCLA School of Public Health.  I’m also a consultant for a handful of biotech/pharma companies. As for the group project, we are still moving forward with our idea and I’m serving as an advisor for the team.

How will your experience in the SIE help you in future endeavors?

I have an additional skill set and networks that I developed in the SIE, which will undoubtedly help me succeed both in academia and in industry. Overall, the SIE experience has opened up my eyes to a different perspective in analyzing and solving problems.

In your opinion, what was the most valuable aspect of the SIE?

The most valuable aspect of the SIE was the relationships that I developed. I am sure that I will be collaborating with SIE classmates and mentors in the future.
