Veronica G. Beaudry

Why were you interested in participating in the SIE?

I wanted to gain a better understanding of business fundamentals while establishing mutually beneficial contacts with others who are interested in pursuing a similar career path. I want to know what it really takes to become a successful entrepreneur and how I can contribute to the field using my background and experience.

Were your expectations for the program met?

My expectations were exceeded.  The quality of the faculty, the students, and the program as a whole more than exemplifies the benefits of this unique experience.

What are you doing now?

Currently, I am finishing up my PhD thesis and am looking into potential business oriented careers, including joining a start-up biotechnology venture.

How will your experience in the SIE help you in future endeavors?

SIE has given me the basic skills and confidence to fulfill my entrepreneurial ambitions.  It has also introduced me to a set of invaluable colleagues.

In your opinion, what was the most valuable aspect of the SIE?

The most valuable aspect of SIE is the people.  Over the 4 weeks, I developed new friendships and contacts that will be critical for our future successes as young entrepreneurs.
