Thank you for your interest in the Summer Institute for Entrepreneurship. Below are Frequently Asked Questions specific to current Stanford graduate students. Please disregard any conflicting information in other sections of the Summer Institute for Entrepreneurship website or the application instruction pages.
Admitted Stanford graduate students are awarded a tuition subsidy by the University and are only responsible for a total of $700 of the tuition (plus an application fee of $40). The 2010 full tuition is $7,600.
What does the program fee include?
The $700 program fee includes tuition, some course materials, guest speakers, program travel, excursions and events. In addition to opening and closing events, a light breakfast and full lunch will be provided at the Graduate School of Business from Monday through Friday. Please note that Stanford graduate students are responsible for only $700 of the full program tuition and the remainder is subsidized by the Vice Provost for Graduate Education.
The program does not include housing. If you are in need of accommodations for the duration of the program, please contact Stanford Graduate Housing.

What is the time commitment?
The program is full-time. A typical day consists of 4-5 hour-long classes, workshops, and guest speakers. During the evenings, participants will be expected to complete daily readings and assignments as well as meet in project groups to prepare for their final presentation.
Who should write my letters of recommendation?
Please submit two letters of recommendation as part of your application. We require that at least one of the two letters come from a Stanford faculty member or advisor. You may have worked with this individual in any capacity (i.e. in a class or while doing research). The other letter can be written by someone outside Stanford (i.e. former employer, professor from a prior institution).
Which transcripts do I need to submit?
Please submit your current Stanford transcript. You do not need to provide us with your transcript(s) from other institutions. On your application, however, please provide the names of schools from which you received a degree, as well as your GPA from each of those institutions.
How do I send my Stanford transcript to the Summer Institute?
