Stanford graduate students are also encouraged to apply to the Program in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (PRIE). The Application link for Stanford students allows you to apply to one or both programs. The chart below gives you a quick comparison of these two programs. What does the program fee include?

The program fee includes tuition, some course materials, guest speakers, program travel, excursions and events. In addition to opening and closing events, a light breakfast and full lunch will be provided at the Graduate School of Business from Monday through Friday. Please note that Stanford graduate students are responsible for only a portion of the full program tuition and the remainder is subsidized by the Vice Provost for Graduate Education.
The program does not include housing. If you are in need of accommodations for the duration of the program, please contact Stanford Graduate Housing.

What is the time commitment?

The program is full-time. A typical day consists of 4-5 hour-long classes, workshops, and guest speakers. During the evenings, participants will be expected to complete daily readings and assignments as well as meet in project groups to prepare for their final presentation.

Who should write my letters of recommendation?

Please submit two letters of recommendation as part of your application. We require that at least one of the two letters come from a Stanford faculty member or advisor. You may have worked with this individual in any capacity (i.e. in a class or while doing research). The other letter can be written by someone outside Stanford (i.e. former employer, professor from a prior institution).

What is the cancellation policy?

The application processing fees are non-refundable. Because the Summer Institute for Entrepreneurship tuition for Stanford graduate students will be subsidized by the university, you may be responsible for a cancellation fee of $5,000 (plus the program fee) should you choose not to attend the program after accepting admission.
