Academics

Expand your business knowledge and skills

Our one-year, full-time master's program for experienced leaders helps you get in touch with leading-edge thinking. The Business School takes advantage of interdisciplinary collaboration among Stanford’s seven schools to fuel discussion of innovative solutions to pressing business and global issues. As a resident Fellow at the GSB, you will be prepared to work closely with faculty, with our MBA students, and with peers from around the globe, to take your expertise to higher levels of general management thinking that are key to the next phase of your career.

The Experience

  • The year starts in July with required courses that provide foundational knowledge for elective classes taken during the subsequent academic terms. Fellows take additional required courses, mostly in the fall term, designed specifically for the experience level of the cohort.
  • In addition, you will select electives to meet your learning needs. There are several electives designed specifically for Fellows, more than one hundred available electives offered through the MBA Program, and many more offered through other graduate schools at Stanford University (Schools of Engineering, Medicine, Law, Education, Earth Sciences, and Humanities and Sciences).
  • The co-curricular program in Leadership Development provides unique opportunities to discover new ways to think and learn about leadership throughout the year, and to develop your personal leadership style. It includes assessments, executive modules, study trips, and active leadership-by-doing through study groups, class leadership, and project teams.
