"The year with the Sloan Fellows has meant a great deal for me professionally and personally. The interaction with some of the best faculty in the academic world, as well as the classroom experience with some of the brightest people I will ever meet, has been fantastic".
— Eric Alstrom, Sloan '02
The Sloan Program is just one of the academic choices offered at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Sloan Program
A full-time, 10-month academic program leading to a Master of Science in Management degree. It is limited to about 56 Sloan Fellows, senior managers—with eight or more years of experience—who have had or soon will be appointed to their first general management position. Most Sloan Fellows are sponsored by their employers.
Master of Business Administration
The MBA program is a two-year, full-time residential program designed to prepare students for management careers.
Doctoral Program
Each fall approximately 20 students enter the PhD program with the goal of pursuing an academic career involving research and education. Each doctoral student chooses to concentrate on one specific academic field and generally completes the program in four years.
Executive Education
For 50 years the Stanford Graduate School of Business has offered business executives academic non-degree programs that foster innovative business practices. They range from the comprehensive six week general management program for senior executives to specialized programs focusing on one area such as financial management or marketing.
