The Stanford Sloan program met and exceeded my expectations. It gave me an excellent grounding in core management competencies: strategy, accounting, human resource management and so forth. We benefited from the latest research by Stanford faculty, making us aware of new theoretical and empirical developments in each subject. I gained the skills to chart the future direction, vision, and goals of an organization, and review how organizational strategy needs to react to changes in the business environment.
One of the highlights of the program was a superb course on leadership. Stanford combines experiential learning that gave me excellent feedback on my strengths and weaknesses as a leader, with thought-provoking lectures to challenge my assumptions about the meaning of leadership.
I became very close to other Sloan Fellows. I now have a network of fabulous friends around the world with whom I will be able to share work and life challenges in the years to come.
