Sloan Master's Program

Sloan Faculty

Robert Flanagan
Konosuke Matsushita Professor of International Labor Economics and Policy Analysis

I have taught economics to Sloan Fellows for over ten years, and it has been one of the real pleasures of the teaching side of my life at the GSB. One of the great strengths of each Sloan class is intellectual curiosity—eagerness to consider and work with the conceptual approaches introduced by the faculty. By introducing examples from their experience, Sloan Fellows enrich the understanding of key concepts by fellow students and the faculty. Teaching is most rewarding when learning occurs on both sides of the podium, as happens regularly in the Sloan classroom.

Sloan classes also benefit from a cooperative spirit that develops each year. Sloan Fellows have a lot to share and learn as much from each other as they do from the faculty.
