Sloan Fellows
After spending 15 years working for Ford Motor Company I found the opportunity to deepen my analytical skills, analyze cases from a variety of industries and build a life-long network with top talent around the world to be the opportunity of a lifetime. My fellow Sloans provide ongoing support, friendship, and critical feedback that I will never forget.
— Kim Irwin, Sloan '02
Sloan Fellows are the program's greatest resource. They are experienced, accomplished, and ready to take on senior leadership positions in their organizations. Each Sloan class is selected to represent a mix of countries, industries, functional backgrounds, and experiences. Many have worked in a number of countries before coming to the Stanford Business School and approximately half have already had their first assignment as a general manager.
The Sloan Program engenders a camaraderie and collaborative environment that encourages the Fellows to form lasting friendships. Sloan Fellows work in diverse teams of peers throughout the Program on class preparation, presentations, and projects. The diversity of the class means that fellows from different types of industries and from varying professional backgrounds learn from one another as well as from the faculty.
Fifty-six men and women are selected on the basis of their past accomplishments, and their potential to take on the most senior leadership positions in their organizations.
Packard Foundation Fellows
The David and Lucile Packard Foundation has provided fellowships for several years to enable outstanding individuals from the nonprofit sector to participate in the Sloan Program.
