The Stanford campus and the surrounding environment of Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area provide an extraordinary setting in which to undertake an academic program.
Most Sloan Fellows live on the Stanford campus within walking or bicycling distance of their classes, libraries, and the other University facilities. The resources of the campus are numerous with access to an array of social, cultural, and athletic events.
The family experience makes the Sloan year an exciting period for the entire family. The year can become an adventure, as children explore new places and partners enjoy opportunities to take classes or pursue other interests. The close-knit Sloan community helps each new set of families settle in with a minimum of problems.
