This guide contains the following sections:

Development – guides Dreamweaver users in working with the site templates.

Best Practice – details the standards for implementing the new GSB website design.

Resources – offers links to additional sources of website development information.

The Public Web Style at a Glance

  • All site pages are 955 pixels, aligned to the top left edge of the browser. A white background appears directly behind the page, and a subtle textured graphic background appears to the right of the page.
  • Each subsite is built from templates. Standard templates are available for 1-column, 2-column, and 3-column content areas.
  • A Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) is provided with the template.
  • Each subsite is editable with Contribute. Subsite authors are responsible for the text and images on their web pages. The Web Support Group is responsible for creating the header, footer, left navigation, and breadcrumb files for each subsite.
