File Naming
Conventions
Please use the following conventions when naming files for any GSB webpages.
- Use separate subdirectories (folders) for major content categories.
- The homepage of a directory should always be named index.html.
- URLs, file names, and file extensions cannot contain uppercase letters, spaces, or special characters (e.g., & or $), but may contain letters, numbers, underscores, and dashes. Use underscores and dashes sparingly.
- Make sure that file names clearly denote the content.
- Delete all extraneous, non-linked (orphan) files.
- Archive superseded, but important, files.
