JJ is a managing director of GIC Pte Ltd, the Sovereign Wealth Fund managing Singapore’s government reserve. He is a member of the Global Investment Committee of GIC Real Estate, and also directly supervises GIC’s real estate investment in Greater China, Australia, and New Zealand. JJ joined GIC after graduating from the Stanford MBA program. Before the GSB, he worked in engineering and general management for China State Construction & Engineering Corporation.
JJ was a co-chair of the 15th reunion fundraising of his MBA class. He has also served as a long-time class agent.
JJ and his wife, Lin Mei, live in Shanghai. Both of his kids are studying in the United States. His daughter is a senior at Carnegie Mellon University. His son, born at Stanford when JJ was at the GSB, is a junior at Milton Academy, Boston. JJ enjoys hiking, badminton, and golf.
