Katie is president of Fast Forward, a consulting firm providing business development and strategic advice to videogame publishers and studios around the world. For most of the 30 years since earning her MBA at Stanford GSB, Katie has worked in games in various executive roles at large and small companies, including starting three of her own small ventures.
Katie has been a lead ambassador in the GSB’s pilot Ambassador Program since its inception in 2013. Coordinating a team of 15 ambassadors, Katie is proud of the ongoing connections that are made between members of the MBA Class of ’87 around the world. As a volunteer at her 25th and 30th reunions, Katie has helped the Class of ’87 achieve the most prestigious “Triple Crown” award for record attendance, fundraising participation, and dollars raised for a 30th reunion. Katie is also active in the leadership of her community faith organization, especially focused on small group and geographic support programs.
Katie and her retired husband, Steve (GSB Class of ’89), have a 32-year-old daughter, Stephanie (Katie was 9 months pregnant at GSB graduation time!), who attended UCLA and is in graduate school to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and a 28-year-old son, Bill, who attended Cornell University, and after six years in manufacturing management is embarking on his MBA education at Anderson School at UCLA. A highlight of the year for Katie is a gathering of 25 or so classmates at Las Catalinas in Costa Rica, a resort village developed by another ’87 classmate.
