Phil is a managing partner of Equius Partners, an investment advisory firm headquartered in Novato, California, which he founded in 1991. He has spent his career promoting his clients’ well-being.
Phil has served as a class agent since graduating from the GSB and chaired a number of reunions. He is the recipient of the GSB’s John W. Gardner Volunteer Leadership Award and Stanford University’s Governor’s Award.
Phil’s love of community called him to chair Alchemia, serving individuals with significant developmental disabilities and connecting them to their communities through the arts. He still is actively involved with Project Redwood, a partnership he founded with his business school class at their 25th reunion to alleviate poverty. His belief that the most effective way to reduce global poverty is through educating girls and women led Phil to serve as chair of Daraja, an organization dedicated to schooling Kenyan girls. He also counsels Grace’s Kids, which educates and nourishes Ugandan children, and No Bully, which promotes social and emotional intelligence for children worldwide.
Phil is blessed with three children: Lily, Will, and Gussie; two sons-in-law: Mike and Hawazin; and two granddaughters: Poppy Jane and Willow Roselyn.
