Denny is managing trustee of two private family foundations and managing partner of two private investment partnerships. His career has been in various private investment management companies and he was a founder and formerly chairman of a commercial bank in Texas. He has served on several corporate boards, including three publicly held, NYSE-listed companies. He has also held leadership positions in numerous community not-for-profit organizations including Texas Christian University, Cook Children’s Health Care System, Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, Trinity Valley School, and others.
Denny has been an active competitor in senior amateur golf around the country and internationally. He has competed in several national championships and has recently been Captain of the U.S. Seniors International team in winning matches against Canada and Great Britain.
Denny’s volunteer service at Stanford includes roles in his undergraduate and GSB reunions, service on the Centennial Campaign national committee, and service on the GSB Trust.
Denny and his wife, Carol, began their marriage while at Stanford, and have two married children and five grandchildren. Carol and Denny celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2016 by returning for a fun weekend at Stanford, to show their entire family where it all began for them.
