ACT for Mental Health
ACT for Mental Health brings communities closer together by providing quality, affordable mental health counseling and educational services. With a 50-year history, ACT for Mental Health continues to evolve and innovate as it meets the mental health needs of diverse, underserved communities in Santa Clara County. Its licensed staff, fluent in Spanish, English, Vietnamese, and Hindi, are passionate professionals devoted to supporting clients who might otherwise fall through the cracks of an overburdened mental health system.
How can ACT for Mental Health ensure long-term stability?
ACT for Mental Health has tripled in size the past five years, even in the face of year-to-year uncertainty for some of its grant funds. Many of its staff are paid below market and expected to retire in coming years. Although the organization has been around for 50 years, it has never had a strategic plan.
ACT (for Mental Health) would like ACT (Stanford)’s help in developing its first strategic plan. The plan will focus on sustaining the growth the organization has recently accomplished, planning for future growth, and investing in staff.
