The Stanford Graduate School of Business Asian Business Students Association will host its Annual ABSA Gala to celebrate the diversity in the Asian GSB community and to share experiences and realities facing Asian and Asian-American business leaders.
Make a date with ABSA, and join us on 4/7/2018 for a night of dinner, dancing and discussion with #bosslady Da Woon Kang, MBA ‘09 and founder of Coffee Meets Bagel.
Da Woon started her career at Avon, and joined JP Morgan’s distressed debt and equity investments team in Hong Kong post-GSB. In a bid to curate personalized matches and bring more thoughtfulness back into dating, Da Woon left banking in 2012 to co-found dating app Coffee Meets Bagel with her sisters Arum and Soo. Today, Da Woon oversees CMB’s strategy and branding as COO & Head of Marketing.
Impressed? We are.
Come hear her speak about the intersectionality across the many elements of her identity, and her journey to embracing and being her full self!
The purpose of this event is to:
Celebrate: Offer the Asian community at the GSB a valuable opportunity to celebrate their identity and their unique experiences, as well as embrace what is shared and common with the rest of the GSB community.
Connect: Bring together both Asian and non-Asian students, alums, and faculty members to build deeper connections and strengthen a sense of community for Asian members.
Learn: Garner learnings and insights from the perspective of a renowned member of the Asian community that students can use to create impact at the GSB and in the world, and to recognize the achievements of this speaker and the broader community outside of the GSB.
