The matching of employees to jobs remains one of the most fundamental roles of organizations and managers. However, demographic shifts, technological advances, globalization, fluctuations in the institutional and legal environment, and the skilling and deskilling of the workforce has led to numerous changes in hiring. How are organizations and job-seekers responding to these changes? How do internal and external labor markets affect hiring? What impact does demand and supply-side behavior have on hiring and compensation inside and outside of the U.S.?
