Get out of bed. Take a quick shower. I check my email and read some newspapers online.
07:45am
Walk to my Data and Decisions class, right across the street.
08:00am
Data and Decisions class. Today we learned about multiple regression and its applications to Big Data. We discussed predicting online ad revenues for a big department store.
10:00am

12:00pm
Grab lunch with friends at Arbuckle. Good to catch up. Excused myself 15 minutes before class to collect my thoughts and prepare for my marketing class.
01:30pm
Marketing class. We learned about branding today. This class has taught me a lot about the fundamentals of business.
03:00pm
Go back to Schwab and take a one-hour nap. Sometimes I just can’t resist the temptation of an afternoon nap, especially when Schwab is only 5 minutes away.
07:00pm
Go to Australia study trip reunion.
09:00pm
TALK. At TALK, two classmates talk about their lives to a group of MBAs in the MBA lounge. This is one of the best ways to get to learn about our classmates.
11:00pm
Quick read and preparation for Optimization and Simulation Modeling, and Microeconomics classes. Read and respond to some emails and make a quick phone call to my sister in Beijing.
12:00am
Bedtime. What a full and productive day.
Tuesday
07:00am
Get up, take a quick shower, read emails and news headlines.
08:00am
Walk to my Managerial Microeconomics class. It is nice and sunny today. In Microeconomics, we learned about incentives and bonuses, including their relationship with productivity and quality.
10:00am
Walk back to Schwab and stop by the coffee station to grab a cup of tea. Finish watching online videos in preparation for my Optimization and Simulation Modeling (OSM) class. We call it “Awesome.”
12:00pm
Catch up at lunch with my fellow “squad” mates. This was the group I worked very closely with in Leadership Labs.
01:15pm
OSM class. Today we discussed how to optimize revenue and booking for an airline flying between five different cities.
03:00pm
Head back to Schwab to prepare for my leadership coaching meeting. Today we will discuss "meaning maps."
05:00pm
Meeting with my Personal Leadership Coach (PLC). My PLC is an MBA2 Arbuckle leadership fellow. We meet once a week to discuss various professional and personal matters. Today we discussed “meaning mapping,” an activity that helped me identify what’s meaningful to me in my personal, social and work life, and how I can think about that in choosing a career after the GSB. Our session was a one hour walk around the beautiful Stanford campus.
06:00pm
Study group meeting with my Data and Decisions group to discuss our final project. For this project, we are analyzing the co-relations of personality and professional advancement in a big professional services firm.
07:00pm
Dinner with a medical student considering applying to the MD/MBA program.
09:00pm
Doing laundry in Schwab. The Schwab residential center is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk from the Knight Management Center. Had a drink with my Schwab suite mate while the laundry is running.
11:00pm
Emails and bedtime. No class tomorrow, so not much coursework to prepare this evening.
Sunday
08:00am
Get up and go for a quick run on campus. It was quite a beautiful morning.
10:00am
Go to a friend’s house for my monthly breakfast club brunch. A friend came up with the idea of a group of 10 of us who meet up for brunch once a month. Interesting conversation about staying true to what brought each of us to the GSB.
01:00pm
Meeting with the planning committee for the Stanford Africa Forum, a one-day event that brings together people within the Stanford community who are interested in this region's economic development. Today we are designing the registration website and brainstorming the panels that will take place.
