Felipe is a leader in Chile’s public and social sectors. He has led national discussions on public policies, implemented social public policies, and coordinated the social evaluation of or investment in hundreds of public projects. As a member of Parliament, Felipe participated in the finance, labor and social security, and human rights commissions. He led discussions on the annual national budget bill and the latest tax and labor reforms. Felipe twice coordinated and led the most important subcommittee budget in Congress and was instrumental in approving and authorizing over US $75 billion. He also led the opposition in dialogues seeking a national agreement on pension system reforms. Previously, Felipe worked on the African continent as a volunteer and co-founded educational nonprofit CreceChile.
