Israel is an experienced project manager, technical consultant, and innovator. Before coming to Stanford, he was a reservoir engineer for North America (the United States, Canada, and Mexico) at Schlumberger, an oil field services company. In this role, he advised clients and governing bodies on topics including data for operations and decision-making, reserves certification, field management, production optimization, and regulations and implementation. Internally, he is an innovator in adapting new technologies to improve service delivery, market analysis for segment strategy in penetrating markets, and the development of automation systems to bring the oil field into the digital age. Previously, he gained extensive experience in performing field operations ranging from well construction to production.
