Jason was most recently a director at Singapore’s Ministry of Communications and Information, helming the industry, economic regulation, and international strategy units. He supported the transformation of Singapore’s digital economy by developing enterprise support and talent development policies for the info-communications, media, and design sectors, and by formulating competition and consumer protection policies in the tech sector. He also oversaw Singapore’s regulatory framework for personal data protection and fronted the ministry’s international engagements. Jason was special assistant to Singapore’s second prime minister, as well as special assistant to the law minister. He has also served in the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Ministry of Law, the Public Service Division, and the Ministry of Defence.
