Jack has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 15 years. He has traveled to more than 20 countries, mainly emerging markets, to help local telecom operators build their networks. For example, as sales leader of Alcatel Lucent, he introduced the first mobile disaster-alarm system in Taiwan and improved mobile coverage in east Pakistan and southeast Nigeria. His most recent job was business development director at Nokia Indonesia, building up Indonesia’s first national fixed-broadband network for the biggest local service provider. In his spare time, Jack once established a company in Shanghai that brought millions of dollars in business to Korean fabric manufacturers and designers by linking them with Chinese buyers and retailers.
