Bishop served as a federal prosecutor in Orlando, Florida, beginning in 2008. He focused on the investigation and prosecution of a wide variety of criminal offenses, including white-collar and tax fraud, international narcotics and weapons trafficking, and violent crimes. Since 2012, Bishop has served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, protecting military personnel, equipment, and missions in Africa and Eastern Europe across several deployments. Through his exposure to international logistics organizations as a prosecutor and a Marine officer, Bishop has become interested in predictive logistics and backhaul inefficiencies in the shipping industry and their impact on trade in the evolving world.
