Nobuhiko joined Nippon Telegraph and Telephone in 1997. In his 19 years at one of the world’s largest providers of information and communications technology — during which he had a seconded assignment as a trade policy official for the Japanese government — he gained experience in areas including internet engineering, regulatory affairs, and global marketing. Most recently, as a director of human resources at NTT Communications’ headquarters, Nobuhiko was responsible for directing the global aspect of the group’s talent management strategy. This involved sharing the HR vision and mission with 20,000 colleagues across affiliates in 20 countries; planning initiatives in leadership development, employee engagement, workforce planning, and total reward policy; and driving the use of digital HR.
