For the past seven years, Rob was a foreign affairs officer in the United States Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, where he played a leading role in aligning Department of Defense plans with foreign policy priorities. Rob continues to serve as an officer in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, having recently returned from Juba, South Sudan, where he was the U.S. defense attaché. He has spent much of his working life abroad, most recently in Iraq, Germany, Jordan, Afghanistan, Latvia, Turkmenistan, and South Sudan.
