Sohei is a marketing communications professional with 14 years of experience. He started his career at Dentsu, a Japanese global advertising and communications corporation, aiming to solve global issues through the power of communication. Working as a marketing planner for Japanese clients such as Nippon Telegraph and Telephone and Canon, he gained expertise in marketing, branding, and advertising. Later, Sohei moved to Beijing to lead more than 100 local employees as senior director in charge of Dentsu’s advertising business there. He contributed to over US $100 million in annual sales, creating numerous impactful brand campaigns and marketing initiatives that strengthened the brand’s value and expanded his clients’ market share. Now, as a senior manager of corporate planning at Dentsu’s Tokyo headquarters, Sohei works closely with the board to create strategies tailored to shape the epoch changes coming to the advertising business.
