For 14 years, Vijay has led transformational risk management projects (more than $10 million) with global energy leaders, such as BP, Saudi Aramco, and Maersk, delivering sustainable mitigation solutions. He specializes in product delivery, business model innovation, stakeholder trust, and compliance management. Vijay advised the California state government on developing its first threat assessment tool to help utilities (such as PG&E) prevent environmental catastrophes like BP’s Gulf of Mexico oil spill. During the oil and gas downturn, Vijay led business development related to li-ion battery storage, steering DNV GL’s transition to low-carbon advisory services. He was chosen to be the primary safety advisor to FDNY to build its first fire code on battery storage. Post Stanford, Vijay dreams of becoming a climate leader in the social impact space.
