Start With a Need, Not a Solution
In Startup Garage, we start with user needs or need spaces rather than ideas or solutions. We will ask you to apply to the course with a user need identified. Examples of needs include: Inefficiencies in small business marketing, residential energy efficiency, a better residential move experience, educational outcomes in underserved communities, etc.
You do not need to have an idea for a business beforehand, nor do you need to have experience in design or entrepreneurship. Startup Garage covers the entire innovation process.
If you don’t have an identified need or idea, check out our curated list of project ideas.
For privacy reasons, you will need to use your Stanford SUNet ID to access the spreadsheet. If you do not have a SUNet ID but believe you should have access, email Keegan Cooke.
