Aleksei Samkov
Aleksei Samkov is a Postdoctoral Scholar at Stanford’s Golub Capital Social Impact Lab. His research sits at the intersection of causal inference, econometrics, and applied machine learning, with a focus on experimental and observational methods to understand behavior and decision-making in online information environments. His doctoral research developed new econometric tools for event-study designs. He earned his PhD in Economics from CEMFI (Madrid), where he also completed an MSc in Economics and Finance, and holds a BA in Economics from the New Economic School (joint with HSE).
