Catha Groot
Catha Groot manages Stanford Ecopreneurship’s Co-Curricular Programs, including the Stanford Impact Founder – Ecopreneurship Fellowship (EcoSIF) and two Summer Venture Exploration programs, Ecopreneurial Summer Innovation Sprint (EcoSprint) and Ecopreneurial Innovation Externalization Program (EcoX). Through these programs, Catha helps students design and build sustainability ventures.
Before joining the Ecopreneurship team at the Grousbeck-Holloway Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, Catha spent most of the last decade as an early-stage impact venture investor at Radicle Impact where she led their Climate Solutions investing. She also brings experience in startup operations (Personal Capital), in investment banking (UBS) and private equity (The Rockefeller Group) and in nonprofits (IdeaGarden). She’s advised dozens of founders as a Board Member, Investor or Advisor. Catha holds an MBA from the GSB (2013) and a BA in Politics from Princeton.
