Lan supports library patrons at the i-Desk. She received her BA magna cum laude in English from Cornell University and her MA in English from NYU. She has also completed all the PhD coursework in English at UC Santa Barbara. Before joining Stanford, Lan did a preservation internship at the Library of Congress where she shadowed and learned from reference librarians in the Science and Business Reading Room. She is currently a Master of Library and Information Science student at San Jose State University.
