Mason Jiang is a member of the analytics division of the DARC team and focuses on helping faculty researchers leverage large-scale, unstructured sources of data to support their research pursuits. His work ranges from text processing with natural language processing techniques to image analysis with computer vision software. He is also developing and refining a process to take advantage of the substantial MTurk labor pool to create new datasets.
Before joining DARC, Jiang earned his PhD in physics from Stanford University, focusing on using lasers and X-rays to probe the atomic workings of thermoelectric materials.
