Mike Canady is the chief operating and financial officer at Stanford Graduate School of Business. In this role, he oversees the financial strategy and day-to-day operations of the business school, including providing leadership around the GSB’s investment initiatives.

Prior to joining Stanford GSB, Mike spent more than 30 years at Charles Schwab, where he served as chief of staff to company founder Charles Schwab, led international operations across multiple regions, and played a key role in establishing the company’s venture capital arm. Throughout his career at Charles Schwab, he built a reputation as a thoughtful, collaborative leader who brings people together to solve complex problems.

Mike holds a BA from the University of California Santa Barbara and an MBA from NYU Stern.
