Nicholas Hall
Nicholas Hall joined the GSB in 2008 to direct the Behavioral Lab. His main focus is maintaining and growing a human subjects laboratory suited to emerging research in organizational behavior, marketing, and related social psychological investigation. Nick consults with faculty and doctoral students on experiment design and research feasibility. He has consulted for peer institutions on building and staffing behavioral laboratories, as well. Every year Nick hires and trains a team of research coordinators to carry out faculty research, consisting mainly of online surveys and human subjects laboratory experiments. Nearly 40 B-Lab alumni have gone on to graduate school programs and professorships. Nick earned his master’s degree in applied positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, working under Martin Seligman and Christopher Peterson. His research interests include well-being and employee engagement, and has consulted for the government of Bahrain, Aon Hewitt Middle East, and Etihad Airways. He is published in the Journal of Organizational Behavior and in Personality and Individual Differences.
