Söla graduated from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he focused on finance/investing and entrepreneurship through acquisition. His research examined how AI and private capital are reshaping the U.S. legal market.

Before business school, Söla practiced corporate law, most recently as a partner at Kirkland & Ellis. He advised private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies on complex transactions, including leveraged buyouts, cross-border M&A, IPOs, and restructurings. Söla also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Law, Science & Technology from Stanford Law School and has lived and worked in New York, London, Sydney, and Edinburgh.

Now a Case Writing Fellow at GHCES, Söla is most energized by drawing out the lessons in the search fund entrepreneur’s journey: evaluating an industry, sourcing opportunities, building relationships with sellers and investors, and managing a growing enterprise. Outside of work, you can find him running the Stanford Dish, improving his golf handicap, researching stocks, or tinkering with his latest AI project.
