About the Sustainability Research Conference Series

The Stanford Initiative on Business and Environmental Sustainability Research Conference Series is hosted by Stanford Graduate School of Business and the Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability.

In partnership with Stanford’s Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society, this conference was designed to strengthen the community of scholars at the intersection of civil society and sustainability, and advance scholarship and insights on the roles civil society serve in sustainability efforts.

Presenters represented a broad range of fields such as sociology, political science, business, education, public policy, public administration, and social ecology.
