The Doctoral Student Faculty Interchange (DSFI) is an annual academic conference designed to foster high-quality scholarly exchange between accounting doctoral students and faculty. A defining feature of the interchange is that all research presentations are delivered by doctoral students, while all discussions are led by faculty members from participating institutions. This structure emphasizes constructive feedback and mentorship, allowing the students to gain valuable experience with conference presentations and scholarly engagement.

This year’s conference runs from 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, to 1 p.m. Friday, March 13. The two-day conference provides accounting doctoral students with the opportunity to present their work-in-progress, receive detailed and thoughtful feedback from experienced scholars, and engage in sustained dialogue with peers and faculty. By bringing together participants from multiple institutions, DSFI also facilitates networking and relationship-building across the accounting academic community, helping doctoral students integrate into the profession while advancing their scholarly development.

This conference is by invitation only.
