Gene Sykes is co-head of Global Mergers & Acquisitions and chairman of Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications Investment Banking. Previously, he was co-chairman of Global Mergers & Acquisitions. He is a member of the Client and Business Standards Committee. Mr. Sykes joined the Mergers & Acquisitions Department in New York in 1984 and moved to Los Angeles in 1987. He became a partner in 1992.
He is chair of the board of trustees of St. Matthew's Parish School and the California Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He is also a board member of Common Sense Media and former chair of the National Parks Conservation Associate Board.
Mr. Sykes earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1984 and an AB from Harvard University in 1980.
