Rick Tuttle is a founding principal of Prospect Partners, a private-equity investment firm focused on leveraged buyouts of leading niche companies in the lower middle market. Prospect has $470 million under management through three funds raised since the firm’s founding in 1998. Mr. Tuttle is currently chairman of Office Resources Holding Corp., Energy Solutions International, Velvac Inc., World Data Products, Tender Corporation, and Energy Solutions International. He also is a member of the board of directors of Hyatt Hotels Corporation and was formerly a member of the boards of public companies Manor Care Inc. prior to its December 2007 acquisition by the Carlyle Group, and Cable Design Technologies prior to its merger with Belden Inc.

Previously, Mr. Tuttle was a principal with Golder, Thoma & Cressey (now GTCR), a leading Chicago-based private-equity firm. He also spent four years with McKinsey & Co. Inc. in its Chicago office.

Mr. Tuttle received his AB in economics from Stanford University in 1977 and his MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1983. He has been active in Stanford alumni activities and served as major gifts chair for the Chicago area on The Stanford Challenge. From 2001 to 2007, Mr. Tuttle was a trustee of the Stanford GSB Trust and served as chair from 2006 to 2007.
