Joseph H. Gleberman, MBA ’82

Managing Director, The Pritzker Organization

Joe Gleberman is the managing director of the Pritzker Organization, the family merchant bank of the Tom Pritzker family. Previously, he worked in investment banking and merchant banking at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 32 years since graduating from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1982. He began his career in mergers and acquisitions, where he co-headed the technology practice in the late 1980s. Joe lived in Tokyo from 1990 to 1993, serving as head of Asia-Pacific mergers and acquisitions, and in 1993 joined the principal investment area, where he led investments in technology, health care, and industrial companies, including Rambus, Citysearch, IPC Communications, Berry Plastics, Alltel, and iHealth Technologies. In 2007 he became the chief risk and restructuring officer for the merchant banking division.

Joe serves on the boards of trustees and investment committees of the American Museum of Natural History, Manhattan Theater Club, and The Nature Conservancy, where he previously served as chair of the board of The Nature Conservancy of New York. He is a member of the leadership council of the Yale School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Joe holds a BA in engineering and an MA in economics from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He lives in New York City with his wife and has three children: Sarah (Stanford ’15), Margaret, and Charlie.
